Why we make it this way

Six hundred and sixty pounds across four 3 by 4 inch rollers is a different class of job from the 220 pound set: a full bookcase, a piano, a commercial fridge, a loaded safe. The levers are longer to match, because the limit on moving something heavy is usually the leverage rather than the roller.

The method is the same — lift a corner just enough, slide the roller under, repeat. The same clearance rule applies: you need roughly a centimetre under the piece to get the lifter in. Work on a hard floor where you can, and go slowly on a turn; rollers move faster than people expect.
